Hoarding Cleanup in Great Falls

Slower work, done at the pace of the person who lives there.

Emptied and swept room after a cleanout

Calling about someone else?

That's most of these calls. We can talk through the approach with you first, without anything being booked or anyone being told.

This is the job where doing it fast does the most damage. Clearing a hoarded home against the wishes of the person living in it produces a clean house and a person who will refill it, often faster than before, and who now trusts nobody. The clinical literature on this is consistent and we take it seriously.

So we work differently here. Slower, in agreed stages, with the person who lives there making the calls about what goes wherever they are able to. Unmarked truck. Nothing left at the curb where neighbours can see it. No photographs of the house used anywhere, ever.

Why We Go Slowly, and When to Call Someone Else

Hoarding disorder is a recognised mental health condition, not a housekeeping failure, and that distinction changes what a good outcome looks like. The clearing is the easy part. What determines whether the house stays clear is whether the person living in it was part of the decisions - which is why we pace the work and why we will not do a surprise clearance arranged behind someone's back by relatives, however well meant.

There are situations where we are the wrong call and we would rather say so early. If there is significant animal waste, human biological material, or a structural safety issue, that is remediation work requiring specialist equipment and certification - we refer it and we do not attempt it. If there is an active eviction or condemnation deadline, the sequencing matters and sometimes a lawyer or a caseworker needs to be involved before a truck does.

Great Falls is small enough that discretion is not a nicety, it is the whole thing. An unmarked truck and nothing sitting at the curb is not marketing language - it is the reason people are willing to make this call at all.

Common Questions

Will anyone know?

Not from us. Unmarked vehicle, nothing staged at the curb, no photographs of the property used anywhere, and we do not discuss addresses. In a town this size that matters more than anything else we could promise.

My parent won't agree to it. Can you just come while they're out?

We won't. Clearing a hoarded home without the resident's involvement reliably makes things worse and it is not something we are willing to be part of. We are happy to talk through approaches that have a better chance of lasting.

Is this different from a regular cleanout?

Completely. Different pace, different sequencing, and the resident holds the decisions. Pricing reflects the time rather than the volume, and every job is quoted after a walkthrough rather than over the phone.

What if there's animal waste or biohazard material?

That needs a licensed remediation contractor with the right equipment. We will tell you straight away and point you at one rather than taking a job we should not.
